Real Madrid have announced their squad for the Champions League group stage game against Union Berlin on Wednesday, and Vinicius Jr is missing from the squad.
The Brazilian is still out, but reports claim he’s close to making a return to the team.
According to reporter Jose Luis Sanchez, Vinicius Jr will be back in group training next week.
The Brazilian could probably be back in action next weekend when Real Madrid take on Girona away from home.
This is good news indeed, as the Brazilian was initially expected to be out until mid-October.
Still out injured for Real Madrid are Eder Militao, Thibaut Courtois and Arda Guler.
On the bright side, Dani Ceballos and Ferland Mendy have returned to the squad for the first time this season. The duo have been injured since the start of the season.
