Morocco coach Walid Regragui was at the Santiago Bernabeu on Sunday to watch Real Madrid winger Brahim Diaz.

Diaz is being strongly monitored by the Moroccan federation, as they seek to make the former Spain U21 star play for the Moroccan national team.

Diaz was brought in as a late substitute against Real Sociedad, as Real Madrid came from behind to win the tie 2-1.

Last month, Regragui said about Diaz: “Obviously we are interested in Brahim.

“However, there are many aspects to these cases, and they are not easy to resolve. One of them is the African Cup in January, which does not help us.”
