Jude Bellingham was again the hero as Real Madrid defeated Union Berlin 1-0 on Wednesday night, with Bellingham scoring a 94th minute winner.

Liverpool were one of the clubs linked with Jude Bellingham, before they backed out of the deal during the summer transfer window.

And it seems Liverpool manager had an eye on Real Madrid’s game.

During a press conference ahead of a Europa League game, Klopp was having his press briefing while following Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with Union Berlin.

In the 94th minute, Klopp got a notification that Real Madrid had scored another late winner. He looked at the screen and gasped ‘Bellingham!’

Meanwhile, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is hopeful that Bellingham can play for Liverpool in the near future.

Asked if Bellingham would have looked good in a Liverpool shirt, Carragher responded: “He would have done. But there is still time. He isn’t going to stay there his whole career.

“It’s probably hard to leave Madrid, if I am totally honest,” he continued. “But, at some stage, if he’s the best player in England and one of England’s greatest ever players, which I think he will become, then I think he will want to sample the Premier League. And where better than Liverpool, the six-time Champions League winners.”
