The 18-year-old got injured in pre-season, and missed the bulk of pre-season games.

The young talent only just got back into full training with the squad, and has now suffered another injury setback.

Arda Guler was in line to make his Real Madrid debut on Wednesday, but has suffered yet another hamstring injury that will keep him sidelined for another three weeks.

Reacting to the recent development, Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti said: “He needs to get used to the team’s game.

“What he has shown in this time is that he is a great talent, this is just genetics.”

Guler is expected to return for Real Madrid after the international break in October.
