Diaz scored the opener for Real Madrid, as the Los Blancos won the tie 2-0.

The start for Diaz was his first starting appearance for Real Madrid in years.

The 24-year-old who had spent a long time on loan with AC Milan gave a good account of himself with a fine goal.

Diaz was asked about his game time this season, to which he gave a brilliant response.

He said: “Playing 30 minutes for Real Madrid is like playing 90 minutes for a different team.”
