Real Madrid defeated Las Palmas 2-0 in a La Liga clash on Wednesday evening.

Sadly, key defensive duo David Alaba and Antonio Rudiger picked up injuries against Las Palmas.

Thankfully, Rudiger only suffered a minor knock, while Alaba is out injured.

Speaking after the Las Palmas game, Ancelotti confirmed that Rudiger will not make the squad for the Girona clash on Saturday.

“David Alaba will not play against Girona,” Carlo Ancelotti told the media after the 2-0 win against Las Palmas.

“Rudiger has only suffered a knock.”

Ancelotti was however glad that Ferland Mendy and Dani Carvajal have also returned to the side.

“Think about positive things – at least we’ve recovered Mendy and Carvajal,” the Italian added.

Surprise package, Girona, are currently top of the league, while Real Madrid are second.
