Carlo Ancelotti has said he’d play a very strong team against Girona.

Girona have been the surprise package of the season, and have done well so far, as they are currently competing with Real Madrid and Barcelona at the top of the La Liga table.

Ancelotti has assured that Vinicius will start the game, but hinted that Rodrygo may be in need of a rest. He however didn’t state if he’d rest Rodrygo against Girona or afterwards.

Ancelotti said while addressing the media on Friday: “Tomorrow he will start and can play 90 minutes. He’s fine but we’ll see how long he lasts, it depends on what I ask of him. I can also last 90 minutes or 100 if you don’t have to run.

“We play an important game and we have to give our best. The system is not going to change but we are going to introduce some changes to try to be more solid and have more success. We have to play a complete game, with balance. We have to defend well and show the quality we have with the ball to hurt them.”

On Rodrygo Goes, he added: “His problem is that he has not scored the goals that everyone expected. His contribution has been good and he is the only one who has played in all the games. A little rest can help him.”
