Federico Valverde has spoken highly of Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham.
Bellingham has become a key player for Real since joining during the summer transfer window.
The 20-year-old has been getting positive reviews from every corner, and his teammate Federico Valverde, who’s four years older, has backed Bellingham to become a Real Madrid captain in the near future.
“Jude Bellingham? He’s very mature and experienced, it seems he’s been here since ever. He’s a special guy, a very positive person. He can become a captain and be a legend here,” Fede Valverde told a press conference on Monday.
Veteran players Nacho Fernandez, Luka Modric, Dani Carvajal and Toni Kroos are currently Real Madrid’s four captains.
It’s likely that Modric, Nacho and Kroos could leave next summer, which means Real Madrid will have to elect three new captains.
For Valverde to mention Bellingham in that respect is a great compliment for the young midfielder.
This year, Valverde was named captain of the Uruguay national team, and he also has dreams of being Real Madrid’s skipper.
“It’s my dream to be Real Madrid’s captain one day,” Valverde added.
