Real Madrid warned they have signed an overhyped Brazilian

Real Madrid have snapped up Brazilian talent Endrick.

The teenager was signed from Palmeiras, and is expected to move to Brazil in the summer of 2024.

However, Palmeiras has warned that the youngster may not be worth all the hype after all.

“I’m from Brazil and a Palmeiras supporter. Endrick is not nearly at the level we hoped he’d be by now. Too much hype and too much media hovering over him led him to become a bit over himself at the start of the year,” Palmeiras fan, GrootRacoon writes on Reddit.

“Our coach heavily favours players who train well and who perform well in training. He spent months barely playing and only coming at the end of the games from the bench.

“Last 3 games he has been given more chances by the coach and it seems he is corresponding with good performances. He creates a lot of opportunities and loves pestering opponent’s defences. But he also makes some terrible decisions and lacks some vision. Sometimes it looks like he wants to be the hero of the game and decides to do everything by himself, which doesn’t usually work out.

“Also, these 3 last games that he played, we lost 2 and tied the other (which was a semi-final that went to penalties and we got eliminated). Even though he played well the rest of the team is suffering with one of our best players injuries and 2 others playing badly.

“Our midfield is playing really shitty so it means he’s getting hampered by the team too. We’re relying a lot on crosses and Endrick is short, so he doesn’t get many chances from it.

“Overall he is not showing the amazing talent we know he has at the moment and he’s developing slowly, but it seems the rest of our season he’ll play a main role (our season ends in December, so he has about 12 more games to play this year),” the fan concludes.
