Turkish wonderkid Arda Guler has been tipped for greatness.

Real Madrid signed the youngster from Fenerbahce, and many believe he has the potential to be a great player.

While being called the Turkish Messi in his hometown, some have likened him to be the next Luka Modric as well.

Modric was asked about such comparisons in a press conference with the Croatian national team.

The veteran midfielder replied: “Next Modric? Arda should be allowed to be Arda Güler and should not be burdened and compared to anyone, not even to me.

“He is a great boy with extra talent, it’s a shame that due to an injury he hasn’t had the chance to show it to the Madrid fans yet. He has a bright career ahead of him and I believe he will bring a lot of happiness to our fans.”
