Vinicius Jr left Flamengo for Real Madrid back in 2018, with the Los Blancos paying €45m for a promising teenager at the time.

Now 23, Vinicius Jr is seen as one of the best players in the world, and has spoken of his affection for Real Madrid.

The Brazilian has developed his game, and could be a potential Ballon d’Or winner.

Speaking in a recent interview with L’Equipe, Vinicius Jr revealed the only club he could leave Real Madrid for.

He said: “I think I could stay here [at Madrid] my whole career but the club of my life is Flamengo.

“I promised my father I’d go back there one day. I’ve got to keep that promise.”

In his five years at the Santiago Bernabeu, Vinicius has recorded 65 assists and 62 goals in 232 games for the Los Blancos. He has already won everything as a player for the club.
