It was a difficult evening against Sevilla at the Estadio Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, as Real Madrid settled for a point against the home side.

Speaking after the game, Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti praised the referee, for his poor handling of the game.

Carlo Ancelotti praised referee Ricardo De Burgos Bengoetxea, as he said: “The referee had a good game, he was high-quality all game, he got everything right.”

Ancelotti opted to tow that path as he didn’t want to risk a suspension, with Real Madrid to play Barcelona in their next La Liga clash.

Minutes after his presser, Carlo talked to the Real Madrid TV, explaining: “If I say what I think about refereeing…I’ll get a heavy suspension.

“To sit on the bench, which is what I like the most, I didn’t say what I think. Irony was the only way after this match.”
