Real Madrid played a very difficult away match against Sevilla at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium.
The Los Blancos had a goal disallowed for offside in the first half, and had to come from behind to draw the game.
It was Dani Carvajal who scored the equaliser for Real, but Carlo Ancelotti hailed Rodrygo as the side’s best player on the day.
Ancelotti praised Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo, but admitted Rodrygo had more impact.
On Vinicius Jr, Ancelotti said: “He tried many times and he has come up against an opponent, Navas, who has defended very well.
“He came back from international duty on Thursday and that’s why I changed him. He was involved in a fight in which there were 15 players and the referee did well to separate the two teams.”
On Rodrygo’s performance, the Real Madrid boss stated: “He was one of the best, if not the best of the team. He had two or three clear chances, he shot more than anyone else and he tried everything. He didn’t score, but the important thing is that he continues to play well.”
