Barcelona boss Xavi Hernandez is asking for perfection from his team ahead of the El Clasico tie.

Xavi has urged his side to control possession properly and not lose the ball, as Real Madrid can be dangerous in transitions.

Xavi said: “We need to dominate the ball. A loss of ball, Madrid can destroy you. I always see it with difficulty. Madrid is strong, in good dynamics, difficult to predict anything.

“It’s 50-50.”

Carlo Ancelotti has also said of the Barcelona team: “They are a great side, they’re well organised in attack and defence. They have had young lads come in with real quality and we’re expecting the same Barcelona as ever.

“I love all the Barcelona youth players. Fermín has put in some superb performances and I really like Lamal.”
