According to Relevo via Get Football News Spain, Real Madrid are hoping to sell left-back Ferland Mendy during the January transfer window.

Real Madrid have already identified Bayern Munich left-back Alphonso Davies as the ideal replacement for Mendy and will push to sign the Canada international next summer.

Despite Real Madrid’s desire to sell Mendy in January, the 28 year old France international is currently happy at the club and doesn’t want to move.

So far Mendy has only been approached by clubs in Saudi Arabia, however, the Frenchman is against the idea of leaving European football at this moment in his career.

Mendy is under contract at Real Madrid until the summer of 2025.
