Real Madrid have issued a statement in response to various reports claiming the club have been tapping up Paris-Saint Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.

The 24 year old France international will be a free agent at the end of the season and he has been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid for years now.

Statement from Real Madrid reads: “In view of the information recently published by various media outlets regarding alleged negotiations between the player Kylian Mbappe and our club, Real Madrid C.F. would like to state that this information is categorically false and that no such negotiations have taken place with any player belonging to PSG.”

Mbappe has produced 224 goals and 99 assists across 273 games for PSG and helped France lift the World Cup in 2018.
