It was two points dropped for Real Madrid on Sunday night, as the Los Blancos could only get a point at the Santiago Bernabeu against Rayo Vallecano.

The result means Real Madrid have dropped to second place – two points behind leaders Girona.

Despite Barcelona getting a win over the weekend, Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has said he prefers to beat Barcelona and then draw against Rayo Vallecano.

But for Carlo Ancelotti, it was better to slip up against Rayo than against Barca.

“Drawing against Rayo? Well, I prefer to win against Barça than against Rayo. If we were going to drop points, it’s better against Rayo,” Ancelotti said after the game against Rayo Vallecano.

“If we were going to win one of the two games, it was against Barcelona, not Rayo.”
