Brahim Diaz got a rare start for Real Madrid, as the forward got a nod against Braga.
The 24-year-old indeed put in a top performance, and got a goal in the 3-0 victory.
Carlo Ancelotti seemed to have been impressed by the performance of the young attacker, who can play across multiple positions.
The Real Madrid boss admitted after the game that he was pleased with Diaz’s performance, and that Diaz deserved to start more games.
However, Ancelotti said that Diaz was being displaced in the team by Jude Bellingham, who has been very spectacular since signing for Real Madrid.
“Brahim’s best position is where Bellingham plays,” Carlo Ancelotti told the media after Real Madrid beat Braga 3-0 in the Champions League.
Ancelotti further stated: “Brahim Diaz has done very well: he scored a goal, and had another disallowed, he has done an optimal defensive job too.
“What else is there to say? Nothing, he deserves to play a little more.
“Everyone contributes; I have to take a good look at all of them. They are very serious and Brahim is very professional. He deserves to play more, honestly.”
