Real Madrid coach manager Carlo Ancelotti has said Andriy Lunin will be in goal for Saturday’s clash against Valencia.
Kepa Arrizabalaga suffered a leg strain in the warm-up for the Champions League win against Braga, and Lunin had to step in, and did a good job.
Despite injuries to Kepa Arrizabalaga and Thibaut Courtois, Ancelotti has said the team is well covered in goal.
Ancelotti said: “The goal debate is always there. When he has played, Kepa has done very well and when Lunin has been used too. You have to have the competition and then choose based on the moment, with the replacement ready,.
“Tomorrow Fran González will be the second goalkeeper, who has trained with us and is progressing very well; We have a lot of confidence in him.
“Cañizares is also doing well with Castilla and we are well covered.”
