Vinicius Jr has won the 2023 Samba Gold Award for the best Brazilian player in Europe for the first time.

Vinicius Jr has thus ended Neymar’s streak of 3 awards in a row.

The award, which was inaugurated in 2008, was first won by Kaka. The award recognises the best Brazilian player in Europe, and is voted for by fans, journalists, a selection of former players and Sambafoot’s online readers.

Sadly, Vinicius Jr is currently out injured.
