Joselu missed so many clearcut chances in the Champions League tie against Napoli.

When Joselu eventually got on the scoresheet, scoring the team’s fourth goal, he waved in an apologetic manner to the Real Madrid fans.

Carlo Ancelotti however backed the 33-year-old striker when addressing the media.

“He has done his job,” Ancelotti insisted.

“Not only today. I’m not just asking him to score goals. He works very well and will continue to work.

“When he scores goals it’s good for him, but a player has to apologize when he doesn’t work and he has always worked very well.”

Joselu has now scored 6 goals and 2 assists from just 7 starts this season.
