After the defeat to Girona, Barcelona are now 7 points behind leaders Real Madrid, five points behind second placed Girona, and are even level on points with Atlético Madrid who have played a game less. However, Atlético are above Barca on better goal difference.

Only two points separate Real from Girona, and it’s time to take Girona as more serious contenders and also Atlético Madrid, than Barcelona.
