Kepa Arrizabalaga has been first choice goalkeeper this season, as Andriy Lunin has been his back-up.

However, following Kepa’s injury, Ancelotti stuck with Lunin for a couple of weeks, with Kepa on the bench upon his return.

Ancelotti has now decided to hand Kepa another chance in goal, even though he admits he has been impressed with both goalkeepers.

“Tomorrow [against Alaves] is the time to play Kepa,” Carlo Ancelotti stated.

“I don’t have the idea of rotating the goalkeepers. They are both doing well. Lunin has progressed a lot and shown a lot of confidence. Kepa has maintained his level too. When Kepa recovered from injury, I liked rewarding both players.

“I will choose one of the two in the second half of the season.”
