Carlo Ancelotti opted to name Castilla centre-back Raul Asencio to the squad list for tonight’s away clash to Alaves.

Real Madrid called up the youth team defender Raul Asencio, to join the first team training session on Tuesday ahead of the La Liga match against Alavés on Thursday.

The 20-year-old centre-back joins the senior team, as Carlo Ancelotti is currently facing a defensive crisis due to injuries.

Real Madrid are without two of their main centre-backs, Eder Militao and David Alaba, who are both recovering from long-term ACL injuries.
