Real Madrid finally overtook Girona at the top of the La Liga, after the 1-0 win against Alaves.

Real Madrid scored a late winner to seal the win, while Girona conceded a late goal to draw 1-1 with Real Betis.

Real are now top of the table, although still level on points with Girona.

Speaking about Girona,  Ancelotti said: “Drawing against Betis is not so easy and Girona have displayed all the quality they have shown throughout the season.

“I think they will fight until the end because they don’t have any European competition. I also think Barcelona and Atlético will be there until the end. And keep an eye on Bilbao, who are playing very well too.”
