According to reports, Carlo Ancelotti has been offered a new contract at Real Madrid.
The Italian was re-appointed as Real Madrid head coach in July 2021, following Zinedine Zidane’s resignation.
Carlo Ancelotti has been highly successful over two different spells at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Now in his final year at Real, Ancelotti has been linked with the Brazil national team job – a post he’s reportedly very keen on.
No deal from Real Madrid had been brought to the table for Ancelotti all the while, with his current contract to wind up at the end of the season.
But Florentino Perez has now decided to keep hold of the 64-year-old manager.
The new deal being offered to Ancelotti will keep him at Real Madrid until the summer of 2025.
Truly speaking, Ancelotti has impressed with the way he has managed the squad this season, despite the serious injuries his team has suffered so far.
Real are doing well in the league and Champions League, and no better person to continue in the reins at Madrid.
Florentino Perez is set to hold showdown talks with Ancelotti over the new deal – which will happen in January after the Spanish Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
The big question is: will Ancelotti choose Real Madrid or Brazil?
Despite the links with Brazil, reports claim Ancelotti continues to prioritise Real Madrid and has spoken with his family explaining he will remain in Spain if Real Madrid decides to extend his contract.
The Brazilian football federation also claim that they have “legal guarantees” which ensure that Ancelotti will indeed take up the reins next summer. However, that is not binding which leaves the manager with the option to continue at the Spanish capital, provided that he is given an extension by Florentino Perez.
The picture will become clearer after the meeting in January.
