Carlo Ancelotti has snubbed interest from the Brazil national team to extend his contract with Real Madrid, the club has confirmed.
“Real Madrid CF and Carlo Ancelotti have agreed to extend our coach’s contract until 30 June 2026,” Real Madrid said in a statement.
Ancelotti, who has been Real Madrid manager since 2021, having previously managed the club from 2013 to 2015, has extended his Real Madrid contract until 2026.
Ancelotti’s current contract was due to expire at the end of the season.
The Italian has won one league title with Real, along with two Champions League trophies and two Club World Cups.
Ancelotti holds the record for the most Champions League titles won as a coach – having also claimed it twice with AC Milan in 2003 and 2007. He also became the first manager to win the league title in all of Europe’s ‘Big Five’ competitions when Real won La Liga in 2022.
