Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has sent a warning to rival clubs that he is aiming to win a fifth Champions League next year with Real Madrid.

Ancelotti, who recently extended his Real Madrid contract until 2026, has won the Champions League four times, twice with AC Milan and twice with Real Madrid.

Ancelotti said: “This club has a great future. The past is already written and we’re writing the present. Above all, it has a big future with a very young squad and very talented players. The club will be successful in the future, as it has been in the past and is being in the present. With the generation of new players coming through, Madrid’s future is going to be very successful.

“What is done is done. I look forward and when they tell me that I have won four European Cups I only think about winning the fifth next year.

“I don’t think I’ve changed as a person or in the way I coach. Maybe I have a bit more knowledge because I have more experience.”
