Atletico Madrid coach Diego Simeone is feeling confident ahead of facing Real Madrid in the Spanish Super Cup semi-final clash.

Both sided will do battle in Riyadh on Wednesday night, with Atletico having beaten Real 3-1 already, this season.

Simeone said: “LaLiga is different, because it is longer.

“This is shorter, we will go game by game as always, knowing that we are facing a great rival that excites us, excites us and generates expectations.”

Simeone said of their win over Real: “In that game they had casualties that will be there now.

“We are in a different time, with other players different from those who played then and we will play it as we believe.”
