Toni Kroos was a second-half substitute in Real Madrid’s Supercopa semi-final clash against Atletico Madrid.
Kroos came on for Luka Modric in the 67th minute, and despite having a good game, the German was booed anytime he touched the ball.
Kroos didn’t take it to heart, as he responded after the match. The midfielder simply tweeted: “That was fun today! Amazing crowd😍”
The reason the Saudi fans booed Kroos dates back to August 2023 when the German slammed talented Celta Vigo forward Gabri Veiga for choosing to move to Saudi at the young age of 21. Kroos labelled the move as ‘embarrassing.’
Kroos was also linked with a Saudi move last summer, but he declined it and chose to sign a new contract with Real Madrid.
