Real Madrid go away to Atletico Madrid for the Copa Del Rey round-of-16 clash at the Wanda Metropolitano stadium.

It’s a derby game between two top sides, and Carlo Ancelotti is expecting a difficult game against Atletico Madrid.

Speaking ahead of the game, Carlo Ancelotti said in his press conference: “The team is good. We’ve got another very difficult game tomorrow. Atlético are a top opponent and they showed that in the  Super Cup, the match was very even.

“We’re expecting it to be even more difficult tomorrow because they’re at home and they’re doing very well there. The best possible team will play, taking into account the journey and the fatigue.

“We haven’t prepared for possible provocations from the opposition because we have to bear in mind that we’re playing against a very strong side and I’m convinced that it’s going to be more difficult than in the Super  Cup . It’s another trophy and it’s a game that will be played by two teams that can win the  Copa del Rey. It makes the match even bigger, as it’s a simple single-leg tie. We want to do all we can to win.”

Real Madrid beat Atletico 5-3 in the Supercopa semi-final, but Ancelotti isn’t thinking about the previous game, as he says every game is different.

He said: “Every game is different and tomorrow is a knockout game, not a  league  game. We have to consider that too. There might be extra time or penalties. Whatever has happened in the previous matches, doesn’t come into play tomorrow.”
