Cristiano Ronaldo was the star figure at the 2023 Globe Soccer Awards in Dubai.

Ronaldo scooped three awards at the Globe Soccer Awards after scoring the most goals in the calendar year: The Middle East Player of the Year, The Maradona Trophy awarded to the best goalscorer of the calendar year, The “Fans’ Favourite Player” trophy.

Ronaldo still has an eye on European football despite playing in Saudi Arabia, and has picked three clubs as the favourites to win the Champions League this year.

When asked to name his favourite for the Champions League this season, Ronaldo without hesitation picked three: “Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Manchester City.”

The Real Madrid legend then revealed he doesn’t want Manchester City to win the trophy.

“I think Manchester City has a great chance of winning the Champions League again this season,” Ronaldo said.

“I hope not [they don’t win], but I think they have a chance.”

Ronaldo recorded 450 goals and 131 assists in 438 appearances for the Real Madrid , winning four UCL titles with Madrid.
