Real Madrid vs Almeria game is one that raised a lot of outcry after some VAR decisions favoured Real Madrid.

The RFEF Technical Committee of Referees, have now concluded that referee Hernandez Hernandez who officiated the game made two mistakes.

According to the report, the committee claims the referee shouldn’t have allowed Vinicius Jr’s goal to stand, as multiple replays have suggested the ball came off the Brazilian’s arm.

Secondly, the committee doesn’t agree that Jude Bellingham’s penalty was legitimate considering there was a possible foul in the build-up to the handball offence.

However, the foul by Almeria leading up to Arribas’ disallowed goal was the correct call.

Regardless of their committee’s findings, referee Hernandez has not been denied the opportunity to officiate in the Copa Del Rey this week.

He will be the referee in the Cup game between Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.
