Real Madrid then secured a 2-1 victory over Las Palmas, following a late match-winning header by Aurelien Tchouameni in the 84th minute from a Toni Kroos corner.
It was a brilliant header from Tchouameni, who also marked his 25th birthday today. There couldn’t have been a better birthday gift from the Frenchman.
This win helped Real Madrid return to the top of the La Liga table, putting them two points clear of Girona.
