Should RB Leipzig’s goal have stood? Ex-Barca star Thierry Henry gives verdict

Real Madrid secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Leipzig at the Red Bull Arena on Tuesday night.

A Brahim Diaz early second-half goal was enough to secure the first-leg win away from home.

However, there was a huge talking point in the game, as Benjamin Sesko had a disallowed goal just two minutes into the game.

The goal was eventually ruled out by VAR for a foul on goalkeeper Andriy Lunin.

Was it the right call to disallow the goal?

Former France international and Barcelona forward Thierry Henry, agrees with the call.

The now CBS pundit shared his point of view: “I first thought it was a goal, but on the replay, you can see it is not.

“As a player, you are told if you are offside, don’t get involved. He interferes with Lunin – even if the push is little – and he was offside.”
