PSG star Kylian Mbappé has indeed decided to leave Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) as he approaches the end of his contract.
He has informed PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi of his decision to leave the club this summer, despite having an option to extend his contract through 2024-25.
Mbappé had previously informed PSG’s board in July 2022 that he wouldn’t be renewing his contract beyond 2024. This decision puts one of football’s most valuable stars on the market, with Real Madrid being the leading contender for his signature.
However, Mbappé has not yet spoken about his next club and insisted he had not agreed terms with Real Madrid during his conversation with Al-Khelaifi.
Mbappe turned down a move to Real Madrid when he agreed to his current deal with PSG in May 2022, but the France superstar is now set to move to the Los Blancos.
Reports claim that Mbappe has secretly agreed terms with Real Madrid.
Mbappe’s future was the subject of a major stand-off with PSG last summer.
At one point, Mbappe was exiled from the PSG first-team squad and left out of the club’s pre-season tour of Asia.
The club wanted to force him out to Saudi Arabia for big money, which he refused.
However, an agreement was finally reached that ensured PSG would not lose out when Mbappe eventually left.
