Reports have claimed that Kylian Mbappe has officially told PSG he won’t be extending his stay beyond this season.
The future of the 25-year-old superstar is yet to be known, but Real Madrid have had a longstanding interest in the Frenchman.
Jurgen Klopp was asked about Kylian Mbappe, as he has previously been linked to Liverpool.
“I have no clue,” said Klopp about Mbappe’s future.
“Obviously I am not involved in that but I can tell you that I would be surprised [if he signs for Liverpool]. It would be tricky for most of the top clubs I know – [because of] wages, signing fee.”
Meanwhile, La Liga president Javier Tebas is backing Mbappe to complete a move to the Los Blancos this summer.
“There is a high probability that Mbappe will arrive at Real Madrid. More than 50 per cent,” La Liga president Javier Tebas told the media.
“It’s a personal opinion… it depends on Real Madrid, they will decide.”
In some quarters, Mbappe to Real Madrid is almost a done deal, as the Frenchman has already agreed terms with the Los Blancos.
