Arda Guler hasn’t had the start he was expecting at Real Madrid.

Injuries have hampered his development right from pre-season, and the Turkish wonderkid has been limited to two cameo appearances since his return.

Carlo Ancelotti has now told the youngster to fight for a shirt in the team.

“He [Arda Guler] is fine now. He can play from the start, he now has the level to contribute, but he has to fight for his spot,” Carlo Ancelotti told the media.

“As I have said already, sometimes you have to be patient.”

Real Madrid signed Guler from Fenerbahce for €20m.
