Former Real Madrid star Eden Hazard has finally confirmed he arrived overweight at Real Madrid after signing from Chelsea in the summer of 2019.

After seven years with Premier League side Chelsea, Eden Hazard joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2019 but famously arrived overweight for preseason.

Hazard told John Obi Mikel’s podcast Obi One: “Was it true I arrived at Madrid overweight? Yes it is true.

“But every summer I always arrived like this. Normally it took me one month in a season to reach my level. But at Madrid, that’s when I got injured.”

Hazard added: “Playing for Real Madrid was my dream. It did not go as I wanted but I played for a beautiful club.”
