According to reports, Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has offered Luka Modric a place on his coaching staff.

Local Spanish reporter Ramón Álvarez de Mon, has claimed Ancelotti wants Luka Modric to begin a coaching career in Madrid, upon his retirement.

Modric is 38, and will turn 39 at the start of the new season, but it’s yet to be seen whether he’d want to continue playing.

Ancelotti has suggested Modric should start working as part of his staff for the ’24/25 season if he decides to retire from football.

Modric values the offer from Ancelotti, but is considering the fact that he still wants to play on, whether at the Bernabéu or at a new club.

Modric has stated this season: “My only condition for staying was that they treat me as a competitive player, as I have been until now, and not that they keep me in the squad based on past merits.”
