Can’t wait to play against Mbappe – Griezmann says

Kylian Mbappe Real Madrid

Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann has welcomed the prospect of France teammate Kylian Mbappe joining him in La Liga.

With reports confirming that Mbappe will sign for Real Madrid at the end of the season, Griezmann has backed his countryman to make the move, and is looking forward to being his opponent in the Madrid derby.

Griezmann said: “I would be delighted to play derbies against him.”

According to Spanish media outlet Marca, Kylian Mbappe has signed a mega-money five-year deal with Real Madrid after confirming he will leave Paris Saint-Germain.

Kylian Mbappe will be out of contract at PSG at the end of the season and the Frenchman has agreed to join Real Madrid as a free agent in the summer.

The report also adds that Mbappe will earn between £12million and £17million yearly at Real Madrid, making him the highest-paid player at the club but it is a decrease on the £22million he earns yearly at PSG.

Mbappe is also set to earn a huge £85.5million signing-on fee.

The deal was signed two weeks ago after about a month of talks between Mbappe’s mother and agent Fayza Lamari, his lawyer Delphine Verheyden and Real Madrid Managing Director Jose Angel Sanchez.
