Football reporter Sam Lee has claimed that Manchester City striker Erling Haaland, still has his heart set on a move to Real Madrid.

Erling Haaland has been consistently linked with a move to Real Madrid, right from his days at Borussia Dortmund.

The deal is expected to happen in a few years, with Haaland only just 22.

There won’t be a hindrance in Haaland’s potential move to Real Madrid, as Man City have made a promise to their stars to not stop them from leaving the club if they wish.

“I think everybody knows Haaland wants to play for Real Madrid,” Lee said on The Athletic Football Podcast.

“And I don’t think that’s ever really gonna go away.

“But what City can do is keep making it an environment where they wanna stay and play football and obviously earn lots of money.”

Haaland’s contract with Man City expires in 2027. It contains a €200m release clause which decreases each year.
