Real Madrid midfielder Arda Guler hasn’t had a dream start to his time at Real Madrid.
Guler joined the Los Blancos during the summer to much fanfare, the Turkish wonderkid has struggled for minutes on the pitch ever since.
Injuries and fitness issues have resulted in Arda Guler missing the first half of the season.
With the playmaker now fit, he’s not getting enough game time due to competition, having featured for a total of 92 minutes across five appearances.
The 19-year-old is unhappy with the lack of game time he has been receiving, and angrily threw away his bib after being told to not come on against Almeria. He didn’t celebrate Luka Modric’s winning goal against Sevilla when told he won’t be brought on.
According to Diario AS, Real Madrid Carlo Ancelotti are beginning to lose patience with the Turkish midfielder.
The report claims the club have had enough of his poor attitude and want him to become more mature, else he may be shipped off on loan.
Explaining why he decided against bringing on Guler for the Sevilla game, Ancelotti said: “I had a thought before the goal and I changed my mind after the goal and I preferred to bring on a more defensive player such as Ceballos.
“I think he understands it very well and if he doesn’t, that’s fine.”
