Jude Bellingham has been handed a two-match ban by the Spanish FA’s Disciplinary Committee, following his altercation with his referee Gil Manzano.
Referee Gil Manzano gave Jude Bellingham a red card after the game against Valencia, as the referee ruled out a late Real Madrid goal by blowing his whistle seconds earlier.
Real Madrid appealed the decision, but the Disciplinary Committee rejected Real Madrid’s appeal to have Jude’s red card reversed.
In the referee’s report, he claimed that Bellingham besieged him and repeatedly used the ‘F’ word while protesting his disallowed goal in the final second of the match.
The report reads: “In the 99th minute, the player (5) Bellingham, Jude Victor William, was sent off for the following reason: After the end of the game and still on the field of play, he ran towards me in an aggressive attitude and shouted, repeating on several occasions: ‘it’s a fucking goal.’”
Following the sanction, Jude Bellingham will now miss Real Madrid’s games against Celta Vigo and Osasuna. He will be back for the La Liga game against Athletic Club at the Santiago Bernabeu on March 31.
