Real Madrid played out a 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 clash.

Vinicius Jr scored the only goal for Madrid, which was enough for Real to get a 2-1 aggregate victory.

It could have been a different story for the Los Blancos however, as Vinicius Jr could have been red-carded for a collision with Willi Orban nine minutes before his goal.

The Real Madrid star was involved in an altercation with Leipzig’s Willi Orban shortly after half-time as he took exception to his reaction to a heavy challenge.

Vinicius Jr proceeded to square up to Orban before shoving him in the throat with both hands.

Orban went down theatrically, but Italian referee Davide Massa was lenient, and only gave Vinicius Jr a yellow card.

The tension rose in the Bernabeu as play continued to be halted for a VAR review, but the on field decision was upheld.
