Can Real Madrid go past Manchester City this time?

Champions League

Real Madrid have been drawn against Manchester City in the quarter final of the 2023/2024 UEFA Champions League.

The Spanish champions will host Man City at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium for the first leg on either 9 or 10 April with the return match at the Etihad Stadium on either 16 or 17 April.

Should Real Madrid come out victorious, we will face either Arsenal or Bayern Munich in the semi-finals which take place in May.

In European competition overall, our record against City is played ten, lost four, drawn three and won three.

Man City were the victory last season, defeating Real Madrid over two legs in the semi-finals, drawing 1-1 with Carlo Ancelotti’s team away from home, before beating the 14-time UCL winners 4-0 in the second leg.

Many have labelled this game as the final before the final. Can the Los Blancos go past Man City this time, as Real Madrid did dramatically two seasons ago.
