Both Arsenal and Chelsea were understood to be in a fierce battle for Toney’s signature this summer, as Brentford prepares to offload the forward, whose contract is due to end in 2025.

During a conversation with Sky Sports, Toney disclosed that his preferred destination for a summer transfer from Brentford is not Arsenal or Chelsea, but rather Real Madrid.

“If Brentford were to sell me, they make their money, I’ll move to Madrid, then it’s all good,” Toney told Sky Sports, before he revealed his other objectives for the rest of the season.

“We start winning games. We win every game from now for the rest of the season.

“I score 20 goals. We’ve got nine games, or something like that, left, so we keep nine clean sheets. The job’s a good’un.

“I’m in the mix for the Euros and we win the Euros.”

During the January transfer window, Toney emerged as a highly sought-after player, attracting strong interest from both Arsenal and Chelsea.

Despite the speculation, the 27-year-old remained with Brentford. However, Brentford’s manager, Thomas Frank, has acknowledged that it’s almost inevitable Toney will be sold once the season concludes.

Despite interest from Chelsea and Arsenal, Toney has now publicly admitted he would rather move to Real Madrid.
