Reports suggest that Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola sees Kylian Mbappe’s potential move to Real Madrid as an opportunity to pursue Rodrygo. As a result, he is reportedly considering a swap deal involving Julian Alvarez to secure Rodrygo’s services.

At Manchester City, Guardiola commands a formidable attack lineup featuring some of the top talents in the world, including Erling Haaland, Phil Foden, and Alvarez.

Last season, Haaland set a new Premier League record with 36 goals, Foden is currently regarded as the league’s form player, and Alvarez has demonstrated his value as a significant asset this season.

Now in his second season with Etihad, the Argentine has notched 16 goals and provided 12 assists, matching Foden’s overall contribution to the team’s goals and assists across all competitions this season, and trailing only behind Haaland.

Even though he stands out as one of City’s leading offensive forces, Guardiola is reportedly considering parting ways with him.

According to Defensa Central, Pep Guardiola is ready to offer Alvarez to Real Madrid in exchange for Rodrygo.

Real Madrid reportedly value Rodrygo at £86million and Manchester City believe Alvarez is worth the same fee.

Rodrygo has featured in all 41 matches across all competitions this season for Real Madrid, scoring 13 goals and providing 8 assists.
