Luka Modric was a sure starter for Real Madrid last season, but that hasn’t been the case this term.

38-year-old Modric has seen reduced game time this season, and reports have claimed that Modric is frustrated with the situation and that he is likely to leave this summer.

However, Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti has told the veteran midfielder that new contract talks won’t happen until the summer.

“No one is talking about next season, Modric is focused on this season,” he said.

“We will make a decision towards the end of the season, because nobody is interested in discussing it right now.”

Luka Modric will turn 39 in September, and has proven that he’s still a useful asset for Real Madrid.
