Barcelona seem to have gotten back form under Xavi, with recent victories and improved display.

With 8 games left to go in the La Liga, Barcelona trail Real Madrid by 8 points.

Nevertheless, Xavi has said his team will fight Real Madrid until the end.

He said ahead of the weekend games: “The players have to connect to ‘club mode’, they are no longer with their national teams.

“There is a lot in the tank for PSG, but we are currently focused on La Liga. We want and believe we can fight for it. We can put pressure on Real Madrid.”

He continued: “It is difficult to start and disconnect [from the national team]. I have told them that we have to forget that because there are two titles at stake.

“We want to continue the positive dynamic. It is a very important match to continue fighting for La Liga.”
